Mapping Global Community Health Systems- International Rescue Comittee

June 2021 - February 2022

The Community Health Worker (CHW) model is a globally utilized practice that provides healthcare to remote, under-resourced, and crisis areas. The International Rescue Committee establishes and supports CHW programs worldwide to deliver maternal health, mental health, sexual health, disease prevention, and many other services along the community health continuum.

The International Rescue Committee's Airbel Impact Lab brought me on as a Strategy Fellow to facilitate a global mapping exercise to understand the best practices, challenges, and strategic opportunities across their various programs. This included coordinating the creation of an internal CHW Working Group to advise the research, conducting and synthesizing the research with nine CHW country programs, and facilitating workshops on findings to align actions moving forward.
