A ’relationships first’ researcher, organizer, and design practitioner at the intersection of civic, economic, and ecological systems, Forrest leverages participatory and systems-based methodologies to galvanize for cooperative and liberatory futures.
Initiatives Forrest has led include facilitating governmental, educational, and community actors to design place-based curricula with immigrant communities; conducting research and co-designing for local solidarity economies to tackle food insecurity; managing a portfolio of sustainability research initiatives; co-organizing and co-curating TEDxMcAllen; conducting design research for The International Rescue Committee and The Brooklyn Public Library’s Justice Initiative; and developing implementing strategy for deliberative democracy with Extinction Rebellion NYC.
